AccelLAB has two cardiac catheterization laboratories equipped with the most recent technology in digital angiography. We recently completed major upgrades in our cathlab suites with two new Siemens Artis Zee floor mounted systems. These two high-end imaging systems, equipped with 20X20cm and 30X40cm detectors with Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA), Roadmap and CLEARstent technology, will enable us to generate optimal imaging for your cardiac and peripheral work.
The catheterization laboratories are also equipped with state-of-the-art Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) Doppler and Intra-Cardiac Echography (ICE) systems. All are essential tools for the conduct of highly precise cardiac preclinical studies.
We also upgraded our vessel analysis tools with the industry leading software for coronary (QCA) and peripheral (QVA) analysis, Medis QAngio XA, allowing us to continue to offer you the most current and best possible technology and quality available for your pre-clinical work.
AccelLAB has established an operating room equipped with a CT scanner (Siemens Somatom Sensation 16) creating a fully functional hybrid room. The CT scan permits 3D reconstruction imaging to plan for structural disease devices and high precision imaging for orthopaedics studies.
Also available on-site is an MRI scanner (Siemens Magnetom Sonata Syngo 1.5 Tesla), ideal for soft tissue related studies. It is also an important research tool for specific myocardial function assessment end-points. We have on site two ultra-precise Micro-CT systems that are operated by skilled technical staff, which permit examination of devices at a resolution of up to 1 micron. Our laboratory performs regular X-Ray imaging with a portable system. Finally, our imaging capabilities includes Faxitron used in the routine examination of various medical devices.
